If you needed any quick groceries or gas, their is a convenience store in Jim Falls, just minutes away. There is a wonderful country Bar/supper club within 5 minutes of the house called , “Old Abe’s Supper-club” Look it up to dine in or call for take out. A near by town to visit while you are in the area is Chippewa Falls. It has a small town feel but many things to do. One place the whole family would enjoy is, Irvine Park. It is a free park with a petting zoo and many hiking trails. They also have an outside Bear and Lion Den exhibit along with others misc. animals from monkeys to Buffalo. You can take a walk downtown Chippewa and visit our great restaurants and along the way you will have to stop at a few hot spots like Olson’s Ice Cream and the candy store. Mason Shoe Store is a popular place to go along with some other boutique shops in town for the shoppers of the group. Chippewa Falls is also the home of Jacob Leinenkugels Brewery. They offer tours and have a beautiful lodge to enjoy some of their samples. There is also a Distillery/Brewery in town. Come enjoy the beautiful waters of Lake Wissota! Our Kabin was completely remodeled in 2015 and includes a large private lot with spectacular views of the lake. The Kabin is located in Pine Harbor Bay secluded from the main lake, where you can take in the view from the large deck that faces East for gorgeous sunrises over the calm water. The deck is equipped with a propane grill and a dining table for 8. The large side yard is level and perfect for yard games. Inside the main floor you'll find a spacious open concept living, dining and kitchen area with lots of light coming in from the picturesque windows. The kitchen/dining area includes a breakfast nook that seats 6, an island with 2 stools and a dining table for 6. Plenty of space to cook meals and allow everyone to enjoy good conversation together. The main level master bedroom is complete with a king bed and private en suite bath that includes double sinks, a claw foot tub and large walk-in shower. Down the hall from the kitchen and powder room, the in-law suite loft has a queen bed and queen sized futon with a private deck and a separate A/C/Heat unit to keep you comfortable in any weather. A queen sized bed is situated in the den below the loft for additional guests. The loft and den do not have bedroom doors, but are separated from the main cabin. The lower level of the cabin has a large family room to play games or watch Apple TV on a rainy day and enough space for an additional air mattress if needed. The lower level bedroom has a king bed with an en suite full bathroom. A full sized murphy bed is accessible as well. The lower level walks out to a patio under the deck and steps lead down to the fire pit and further to the dock. Lake Wissota (part of the Chippewa Flowage) is a highly desirable lake in Northwestern Wisconsin. It is 6,300 acres in size and 72 ft. at it's deepest. The shoreline is heavily wooded with pines and hardwoods, and the lake provides abundant muskie, sturgeon, walleye, northern, bass and panfish. It is considered a sportsman's and recreational lake with good quality lake water. Although our shoreline is rocky, swimming is great just off the dock where it's about 10 feet deep. Take a swim over to the island in the bay where people like to drop anchor for the day and enjoy the sun. Alternatively you can drive over to Ray's beach or to the Lake Wissota State Park to enjoy the sandy shores. The State Park also offers 18 miles of hiking and biking trails, canoe rental and a boat launch. In the Winter the area also includes miles and miles of ATV and snowmobiling trails and is quite heavily forested. Ice fishing is also very popular! If you need any supplies there is a gas station, grocery and liquor store located within 4 miles of the cabin. Our lake house is fully equipped and ready for you to enjoy your long get-away!! Its located on a dead end road East of Bloomer, WI 3 miles North of HWY 64 & 124 intersection. 2 hours from La Crosse, 35 minutes from Eau Claire and 2 hours from Minneapolis. Water front on Hemlock lake with a dock which is 1 mile East of Marsh-miller lake. We have everything you need from pots, pans, paper towel and bedding to Kayaks and a paddle boat. Bring you food and clothes and enjoy your weekend!! The lake is about 30 acres big (no wake) about 7' deep at the end of the dock and around 25' deep in the center. There are kayaks, a paddle boat and a pontoon that can be used, we ask for additional $100.00 for using the pontoon for you entire stay. We are directly on the ATV trail and the snowmobile trail is just down the road around the corner (can ditch ride to get there). Great northern Wisconsin feel with peaceful nights enjoying the sounds of nature. Deck to just relax and enjoy the views of the lake. There is a TV with local channels and a DVD player with few a movies. Also a WII and board games for the rainy days. There are 8 sets of bunk beds in 3 different rooms with fulls on the bottom and twins on top which can sleep 12. 2 full bathrooms with a shower in each. Playroom to come in the future.
